Cirvanta was established in 2025 by three of Green Create's most senior leaders: Alister Inglesby (CEO), Tom van Essen (Head of New Business Development) and Ulrich Paul (Head of Operations). Following Green Create's exit of its operating asset portfolio to institutional investors, the three partners took the design, engineering and development business forward under the Cirvanta brand.

Under their leadership, Cirvanta operates as a truly boutique consultancy, selective by design, senior-led in delivery. The three partners bring complementary expertise spanning process engineering, new business development and operational management, enabling the firm to provide integrated, high-quality consulting across the full project lifecycle.

The name Cirvanta reflects our commitment to circular thinking in energy and engineering, bringing together technical rigour, commercial awareness and real-world operational insight to solve the challenges of the clean energy transition.

Cirvanta's roots lie in Green Create, a waste-to-value platform founded in 2013 with a mission to transform agricultural and industrial waste into valuable resources. Over more than a decade, the Green Create team developed, built, commissioned and operated seven integrated biological waste-to-value plants across Southern Africa, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.

This wasn't advisory work, it was full-cycle ownership. The team navigated permitting challenges, managed construction risks, troubleshoot technical failures, optimised plant performance and delivered returns to equity partners. That experience of being accountable for both technical performance and financial outcomes shaped a fundamentally different approach to engineering consulting, one grounded in what actually works when your reputation and capital are on the line.

After exiting the operating assets to institutional investors, Cirvanta was established to continue the firm's engineering and development consulting work as a fully independent practice. The knowledge, project methodologies, supplier relationships and operational experience built through Green Create form the foundation of how Cirvanta works today.
